The 2025 Edition Honors the 100th Anniversary of The Great Gatsby with a 15-Year Cask Strength Bourbon and Historic Mash Bill

ST. LOUIS (October 28, 2025) – Jay Gatsby was right – the past can be repeated. The highly anticipated return of Remus Gatsby Reserve from the historic Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, marks the comeback of one of the most sought-after members of the Remus Bourbon family.

The 2025 Edition of Remus Gatsby Reserve 15-Year Bourbon celebrates the centennial of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby and embodies the timeless spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Bottled at 102.8 proof (51.4% ABV), this ultra-limited release will be available in October with a suggested retail price of $199.99 per 750mL bottle.

“2025 marks the centennial of The Great Gatsby, so we wanted to make this year’s expression of Remus Gatsby Reserve absolutely epic,” said Ross & Squibb Distillery Master Distiller Ian Stirsman. “We hand-selected our finest 15-year-old straight bourbon whiskey barrels from our reserves and expertly blended them to create a legendary pour. This year’s release showcases Remus Bourbon at its best.”

Crafted using Ross & Squibb’s historic 21% rye bourbon mash bill and bottled at cask strength, this year’s edition opens with notes of cherry, vanilla, and creamy oak on the nose. The palate reveals sweet cherry, raisin, molasses, and pipe tobacco, finishing with lingering hints of toasted oak and cherry — a refined and luxurious profile worthy of Gatsby himself.

“Our 2025 Remus Gatsby Reserve follows in the footsteps of its award-winning predecessors, while elevating our entire Remus Bourbon portfolio,” added Stirsman. “This release showcases the best of what our distillery has to offer.”

Each bottle of the 2025 edition features distinctive Art Deco-inspired packaging — a nod to the opulence of the 1920s — housed in a decorative clamshell box. To commemorate The Great Gatsby’s 100th anniversary, consumers can scan the QR code on the bottle’s hang tag and point their camera at the label to trigger a digital Gatsby-style fireworks celebration. Special Gatsby-themed centennial events will also take place in New York to celebrate the launch.

Now in its fourth year, Remus Gatsby Reserve has become one of America’s most decorated ultra-premium bourbons, with past editions earning Platinum and Double Platinum medals at the ASCOT Awards, Gold and Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and recognition by the Robb Report as both “Best of the Best” and one of the “50 Greatest Bourbons.”
