The Glenrothes Introduces The 15: A Permanent Star in Its Prestigious Whisky Lineup
A New Milestone for The Glenrothes
The Glenrothes proudly announces the arrival of The 15, a boldly balanced single malt now available across the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $100. This 15-year-old whisky is a permanent addition to The Glenrothes’ prestigious portfolio, complementing the acclaimed The 18 and The 25.
Crafted with Precision and Balance

The 15 masterfully balances the delicate elegance of The Glenrothes’ new make spirit with the bold flavors developed over 15 years in European oak sherry-seasoned casks. This maturation process yields a vibrant flavor profile of bright sweet spice. Master Whisky Maker Laura Rampling personally noses and samples each cask to ensure The 15’s signature bold balance is consistently achieved.
“Whilst The Glenrothes spirit is inherently delicate in style, it does not get overwhelmed by the bolder flavours created by maturation in first-fill European oak casks. It is this precise and counterintuitive marriage of the delicate and the bold that makes this 15 year old whisky unique, bringing sweet fruit and bright spice together in a deliciously unexpected way,” said Laura Rampling, Master Whisky Maker at The Glenrothes.
Exceptional Craftsmanship
The Glenrothes uses custom-made oak casks, seasoned to exact specifications in Spain. The 15 is 100% naturally colored by the cask, a hallmark of The Glenrothes’ prestige whiskies. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is presented in the distillery’s iconic bottle, encased in a dual-layered cylinder with lichen green packaging inspired by the natural beauty of the Glenrothes Estate in the Scottish Highlands.
Availability
The 15 is now available online and at retailers such as Total Wine, Reserve Bar, Binny’s, and Astor Wine & Spirits.

- Palate: Caramelized pears, dark chocolate, and sweet baking spices (cinnamon, clove, cardamom). Pecan pie, crystallized ginger, and orange marmalade create a rich, mouth-coating texture.
- Finish: Rich, sweet, and silky with lingering bright spice.
