Newport, KY (May 15, 2025) — New Riff Distilling proudly announces the dual release of First Decade Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and First Decade Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, the distillery’s first 10-year-old whiskeys. Part of the High Note Series, these limited-edition releases will be available exclusively through the New Riff Whiskey Club starting Thursday, May 22, for pickup only and by the pour at the distillery’s Aquifer Tasting Room. A Decade of Innovation and Quality
Bottled in bond without chill filtration at 120.5 proof, these whiskeys showcase the depth and character of New Riff’s Northern Kentucky distilling techniques. Blended from standout 10-year-old barrels, they celebrate a decade of independence, innovation, and high-quality standards.

Tasting Notes: First Decade Bourbon and Rye
- First Decade Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey: Made with a mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley, it offers notes of cinnamon coffee cake, stewed fruits, and wood spice on the nose. The palate features cherry cola and fruit leather, balanced by tannic rye and oak, with a warm pepper and wood finish.
- First Decade Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey: Crafted with 95% rye and 5% malted rye, it opens with spearmint, dark raspberries, and spicy cinnamon aromas. The palate delivers oak, plum, and tobacco, finishing with a long-lasting mint and peppercorn note.

The New Riff High Note Series highlights limited production runs and unique creations. Priced at $89.99 each, these whiskeys are exclusive to the New Riff Whiskey Club, which is free to join at www.newriffwhiskeyclub.com. They’re available for pickup starting May 22.
