Honoring a Western Legend
Wyoming Whiskey has launched Buffalo Bill Cody, a limited-edition bourbon exclusive to Wyoming. This 6-year-old, 97-proof straight bourbon celebrates the legacy of Buffalo Bill Cody, a frontiersman, war hero, and showman who brought the Wild West to the world. “He was the simplest of men, as comfortable with cowboys as he was with kings,” sharpshooter Annie Oakley once said of him.
A Bourbon Rooted in Wyoming’s Soul
Crafted from grains grown within 100 miles of Kirby, Wyoming, Buffalo Bill Cody blends 26 barrels from Wyoming Whiskey’s rickhouses. This bourbon embodies the rugged spirit of the American West. Unveiled to mark the anniversary of Wyoming Whiskey’s first production on July 4, 2009, it joins the distillery’s Wyoming-exclusive releases celebrating the Cowboy State’s rich history.
Bold Flavors for a Bold Legacy
“When creating Buffalo Bill Cody, we wanted a product that stood out from the rest of our portfolio and other Wyoming Only releases but stayed true to the Wyoming Whiskey pillars of flavor: caramel, orange, vanilla, dark dried fruits, and spice,” said Brendan Cook, Wyoming Whiskey’s master blender. “We wanted to lean into the Buffalo Bill name and create a liquid that we believe Bill would have enjoyed himself as he made his way across the American West. It features notes of leather and tobacco, with the comforting sweetness we expect from Wyoming Whiskey.”
