Blend of Straight Rye Whiskeys finished in French Oak port barrels
Midwinter Nights Dram by High West Whiskey is the first whiskey that started my affinity for this distillery west of the Mississippi. The aura of this whiskey speaks to its big bold flavor that it creates as you drink it sip by sip!

Jake’s tasting notes:
Color: Amber
Nose: As you raise the glass you are met with the blended ryes that make up the base of the whiskey. Waves of citrus and all spice, give way to plum, raisins and jammy sweet notes.
Palate: just as with the nose, the beautiful blend of rye whiskeys are brought forward before the finished components begin to shine through. The pour turns dark and full-bodied; very similar to a manhattan with notes of dry vermouth and dark cherries.
Finish: Medium with drying body similar to your favorite dry red wines.
Cheers ,
Jake
