(March 5, 2026) – Augusta Distillery, the producer behind the world-renowned Buckner’s series, has announced a significant expansion of its core lineup with the release of Small Batch and Wheated Single Barrel. Both cask-strength expressions are aged an average of seven years and are designed to serve as accessible, high-quality anchors for the distillery’s growing portfolio.

These releases mark a new chapter for the distillery as it moves beyond its ultra-limited older age statements to provide versatile, “sipping-first” bourbons intended for year-round enjoyment.

Crafted from a curated selection of no more than eight barrels, this expression is designed for depth and consistency.

Built with Purpose: A Word from Master Distiller Alex Castle

Master Distiller Alex Castle, who joined Augusta to lead their distilling operations in the historic Ohio River facility, emphasizes that these bottles are “built to be opened.”
