Plantation Rum Finish
In one of the latest editions to BBCo. Collaboration series they bring forth an innovative blend of 10-year-old Tennessee bourbon finished for 22 months in Plantation Rum barrels. That is 110 proof with a retail price of $159.99
Official Site Tasting Notes:
Orange peel, allspice, and cinnamon highlight layers of banana bread with rich caramel. On the palate, apple crisp and molasses lead to a balanced finish of fruit and spice, rounding out this luxurious, summer sipper.
Jake from Bourbon Lens Tasting Notes:
Color: Honey
Nose: a burst of citrus strikes the nose as if you freshly twisted a garnish of orange into old fashioned followed by vanilla crème brûlée and a doughiness that you would get smell at a bakery.
Palate: the first sip brings forth a ton of complex flavors with waves of vanilla and toffee. The second sip brings out more of the full body components of the rum with a drying effect that makes you want to drink more. The last sip gives a cinnamon sugar churro type of note that is perfect for summer.
Finish: Drying finish that brings your back for more.
One dram of this whiskey isn’t enough!
Cheers
Jake
