Bardstown, Ky. (October 8, 2024) – Bardstown Bourbon Company is closing the year with a standout regional release. This is part of its innovative Collaborative Series. They are teaming up with the award-winning Blackberry Farm Brewery. This final release of the year features a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. It is finished in barrels previously used for Blackberry Farm Brewery’s signature Oxheart Stout. This process creates an incredibly rich and complex flavor profile. Bourbon enthusiasts won’t want to miss this.
The collaboration was born from a shared dedication to craftsmanship. It unites Bardstown Bourbon’s creative blending process with Blackberry Farm Brewery’s traditional brewing approach. The bourbon is a custom blend of 6- to 14-year-old Kentucky bourbons, meticulously finished in stout barrels for 17 months. Only 10 barrels of this limited-edition release will be available. They will be offered exclusively in Tennessee and Kentucky. It will also be available at Bardstown Bourbon Company’s home distillery and Louisville Tasting Room.
“This collaboration brought together our mutual passion for innovation,” said Blackberry Farm’s Chief Fermentation Officer, Roy Milner. “It’s been an honor to work alongside Bardstown Bourbon, blending a product that showcases both our crafts in one unique bottle.”
The Blackberry Farm collaboration bourbon offers an exquisite tasting experience. On the nose, you’ll find notes of dark chocolate, honey, and toasted oak. The palate reveals layers of mocha and cinnamon. It has a full-bodied mouthfeel that leads into a lingering finish of marshmallow, vanilla, and malt. This release recently earned a Gold Medal at the New York World Spirits Competition. This achievement underscores the quality of Bardstown’s expertly crafted blends.
