Blade and Bow has unveiled Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the second release in its 30-Year-Old collection and the same blend as last year’s 30-Year-Old Limited Release, presented at its natural barrel strength of 164.2 proof (82.1% ABV).

The whiskey was laid down in spring 1993 and spent much of its maturation in the historic rickhouses of Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Nicole Austin, Diageo’s Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development, selected 42 barrels from an original lot of 96. Most were proofed down for the 2025 Limited Release; a portion was held back at cask strength so drinkers can add water to taste.

“They’re the exact same blend, presented in two distinct ways,” said Austin.

Tasting notes:

Citrus, dark berries and baking spice on the nose, with fig, molasses and oak underneath. The palate shows roasted nuts, ginger, dark sugar, blackcurrant and a cool menthol note. Water brings out shifting fruit, floral and spice notes.

Price and availability:

The Cask Strength is limited to 1,200 750mL bottles in a custom leather box at a suggested retail price of $2,500, rolling out in select markets starting November 2026. Stitzel-Weller Distillery is the first retail stop, with a small allocation by reservation starting Nov. 16 for pickup later in the month.

The 30-Year-Old Limited Release (109 proof, 54.5% ABV, $1,200) also returns, with 30 bottles for sale at Stitzel-Weller Distillery on Friday, Oct. 30, followed by limited select-market availability.
