FRANKFORT, KY (July 16, 2024) – Buffalo Trace Distillery, famed for producing some of the world’s most sought-after whiskeys, including Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare, Sazerac Rye, W.L. Weller, and Pappy Van Winkle, is excited to announce the opening of a temporary pop-up shop in Paris, France. This exclusive store, located at 36 Rue Etienne Marcel in the bustling 2nd arrondissement (Les Halles District), will offer a unique retail experience from now through August 23, 2024.
Exclusive Whiskeys and Merchandise
Visitors to the Paris pop-up will have the chance to purchase a variety of Buffalo Trace’s award-winning whiskeys, such as Buffalo Trace, Weller 12, Eagle Rare, and Sazerac Rye. Additionally, the store will feature custom Paris-themed merchandise, with select items available exclusively at this location.
Ed Bell, Homeplace Director at Buffalo Trace Distillery, remarked, “In May of this year, we opened Buffalo Trace London, our Distillery’s first international location, and we’re honored to continue engaging and educating international whiskey fans with our Paris store this summer. While everyone is welcome to visit Buffalo Trace Distillery in the United States, we want to make it easier for Paris residents and visitors to learn, explore, try, and fall in love with our whiskeys.”
Special Whiskey Sampling Experience
From July 26 to August 11, Buffalo Trace fans in Paris can enjoy an exclusive whiskey sampling experience featuring some of the distillery’s rarest and most coveted Weller Bourbon expressions. Complimentary, private tastings for up to four guests will be held at 12 Gold, an invite-only Weller-themed lounge created for this event. These tastings will showcase a variety of Weller expressions, including the newly released, ultra-rare Weller Millennium.
How to Participate
To secure a spot at 12 Gold, fans must:
- Follow @buffalotracedistillery_UK_EU
- Like the post highlighting the 12 Gold tasting experience
- Tag at least one person they would take to the tasting
Dates and times for lounge access will be announced sporadically from July 25 to August 11. Selected winners will be notified via Instagram DM at least 24 hours before their tasting time slot and must confirm their participation within four hours.
Special Cocktails at Experimental Cocktail Club Paris
After visiting the pop-up shop, whiskey fans are invited to the Experimental Cocktail Club Paris (ECC) at 37 Rue Saint Sauveur for a special Weller 12 cocktail. As part of a two-week residency from July 26 to August 10, bartenders from across France will create bespoke recipes featuring Weller 12.
