Jake’s tasting notes: Clyde May’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Nose: soft and sweet nose. Slight hint of pepper, vanilla, grapefruit

Palate: very easy sip at 92 proof. Slight creamy on the mouth feel with a hint of pepper. The second sip of citrus and vanilla custard is what I remember from the podcast.

Finish: short finish with slight hint of oak

Closing thoughts

I enjoy simple pours that bring traditional bourbon flavors to the forefront. Clyde May’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a great daily sipper if you are looking for a new bourbon.
