LOUISVILLE, KY (April 30, 2026) — Derby City Gaming & Hotel has announced the official release of First Turn, the second expression in its prestigious Thoroughbred Collection from Oliver’s Chop House & Bourbon Bar. Following the successful 2024 debut of Starting Gate, this newest release is a single barrel, barrel-strength Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey designed for collectors and thrill-seekers alike.
Distilled in Owensboro, Kentucky, from a high-spice 95% rye mash bill, First Turn Rye is bottled at an unfiltered 114.4 proof. This limited release consists of only 200 individually numbered bottles, making it one of the most exclusive releases in the region this year.

First Turn Rye is available exclusively at Oliver’s Chop House at Derby City Gaming & Hotel. Bottles are priced at $200 (750ml), with 2 oz pours available at the bar for $25.
