Lynchburg, Tennessee (July 11, 2024) – To commemorate McLaren Racing’s landmark win at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, Jack Daniel’s presented McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown with a personalized barrel head and a specially selected barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey. This exclusive barrel, which yields approximately 240 bottles at 94 proof, was initially set aside when the McLaren team visited the Jack Daniel Distillery in October 2022.
The prestigious Single Barrel Select whiskey, barreled in April 2018, is a unique blend of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley, bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). Distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, it is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of charcoal and matured in new American white oak barrels. Bottles #4 and #81 from this special barrel will be presented to McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
