Jake’s Tasting Notes: Lost Lantern Far-Flung

Nose: Chocolate, cream of wheat and cinnamon

Palate: It pops with some pot still freshness, with bold chocolate and cinnamon punches on the back end.

Finish: Dry, Chocolate and Fruity. The finish reminds me of Single Malt Whisky.

Lost Lantern’s Tasting Notes:

Lost Lantern Far-Flung Bourbon is a blend of 3-year-old straight bourbon from Still Austin, 5-year-old bourbon from Frey Ranch, 6-year-old bourbon from Boulder Spirits, and 7-year-old bourbon from Watershed. Bottled at its natural cask strength of nearly 137 proof, it has oak spice, cocoa and ginger notes on the nose, with a rich, spicy palate balanced by clove and dark chocolate notes. It is a big, powerful, and rich bourbon, and unlike anything else we have made before.
