Festivities kick off on National Bourbon Day

The fourth annual National Bourbon Week™ returns to Bardstown, Kentucky, the Bourbon Capital of the World®, June 14-20, 2027. The week brings bourbon lovers from across the country together for rare pours, exclusive experiences and Southern hospitality. More information is available at nationalbourbonweek.com.

What to Expect

Presented by Buzick Construction and supported by Visit Bardstown, National Bourbon Week® is a community-wide celebration of Bardstown’s bourbon heritage. It is a collaboration among Bourbon Capital Alliance partner distilleries, downtown merchants and hospitality partners.

Guests can build their own itinerary from events such as:

  • Distillery dinners
  • Special releases
  • Tastings
  • Educational experiences

“Conversations with distillery partners for 2027 began soon after the 2026 celebration concluded,” said Sam Lacy, executive director of the Bourbon Capital Alliance. “Our ten distillery partners are so enthusiastic about National Bourbon Week and its potential for continued growth. Through strategic partnership with those distilleries and increased marketing and PR efforts, we have built National Bourbon Week into a premier bourbon-focused series of events and are excited for expanded efforts for our fourth annual.”

Building on a Record-Setting 2026

The 2026 celebration drew visitors from 37 states, Canada and Puerto Rico, and 70% of partner distillery event bookings came from outside Kentucky. National Bourbon Week® 2027 will offer something for every kind of bourbon fan.

“That’s what is so unique about National Bourbon Week,” said Lacy. “The week is a la carte…choose the events, releases and experiences that you wish to attend and create your perfect bourbon itinerary.”

“National Bourbon Week showcased why Bardstown is known as the Bourbon Capital of the World,” said Stacey Phelps, president of Bardstown-Nelson County Tourism. “We welcome bourbon enthusiasts from across the country to experience our rich bourbon heritage, vibrant downtown, local businesses and genuine hospitality. The event creates a meaningful economic impact while sharing Bardstown’s bourbon culture on a national stage.”
