Tasting Notes: Old Fitz Fall 2023
Nose: Slight nuttiness on the nose, followed by brown sugar, waves of vanilla and fresh orchard fruit.
Palate: The first sip you are punched with oak, which mellows to herbal tea and touch of citrus. As you continue to drink mint and chocolate straight to fill my palate. This pour reminds me a drinking an Andi’s Mint.
Finish: Lingers with herbal tea and honey.
Closing Thoughts
Old Fitz Fall 2023 release is a pour that I have really enjoyed over the last several weeks. The bourbon is well-rounded with a ton of flavor. Don’t sleep on this one, even if you may initially overlook it because “it’s only 8 years old”!
