New Riff Silver Grove 6-Year-Old

NEWPORT, Ky. (March 6, 2026) – New Riff Distilling has announced the 2026 release of its Silver Grove Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Silver Grove Straight Rye Whiskey, both featuring a new 6-year age statement—the oldest in the series’ history.

Beyond the liquid, the Silver Grove collection serves as a powerful philanthropic engine. Since its inception in 2023, the program has generated nearly $92,000 for the Silver Grove Community Foundation, funding local infrastructure like the new park at Green Valley Pond.

This year’s duo highlights the maturation progress of New Riff’s inventory, moving into “older” territory while maintaining the distillery’s signature bold, high-proof style.

6-Year-Old Silver Grove Straight Bourbon

Proof: 116.4 (Barrel Proof)
Mashbill: 65% Corn, 30% Rye, 5% Malted Barley
Tasting Notes: Orchard-inspired with apple blossom and baked apple on the nose, leading to apple fritter and candy apple on the palate, finishing with warm pecan and caramelized apple.

6-Year-Old Silver Grove Straight Rye

Proof: 115 (Barrel Proof)
Mashbill: 95% Rye, 5% Malted Rye
Tasting Notes: A citrusy, warming spice profile featuring candied orange, clove, and cinnamon. The palate offers a creamy mouthfeel with dark berries and toffee, finishing with oatmeal raisin and cookie dough.

A “New Riff” on Philanthropy

The partnership began when New Riff expanded its rickhouse operations into the city of Silver Grove in 2022. Rather than just building a warehouse, the distillery sought to become a pillar of the community.

President Mollie Lewis noted:

“Aiming to meet their growing need for rickhouse expansion, New Riff made the decision to build a new barrel warehouse in Silver Grove in 2022, discovering a unique opportunity to significantly support that community through their philanthropic efforts just as they do in Newport and throughout Northern Kentucky.”

“We’ve been really looking forward to releasing older age statements, and we’re excited that this marks the first Silver Grove release aged 6 years… The barrels we selected for this release stood out with unique character and flavors we don’t typically see — flavors that immediately excited us when we first tasted them.
