CHARLOTTE, N.C. – September 22, 2025 – North Carolina’s award-winning craft whiskey maker Oaklore Distilling Co. proudly announces the launch of its latest small batch release in the Story Series — the Oaklore Oloroso Sherry Cask Finished Four Grain Bourbon. Bottled at 95 proof and aged for six years, this limited-edition bourbon is non-chill filtered and showcases Oaklore’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. Only 750 bottles are available, making this a highly sought-after release among collectors and enthusiasts.

A Bourbon Worth Telling a Story About

The Oaklore Story Series: Oloroso Sherry Cask Finished Four Grain Bourbon (SRP $99.95 / 750ml) reimagines Oaklore’s flagship Four Grain Bourbon through a luxurious finishing process in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is a complex, full-bodied whiskey with aromas of dried fig, raisin, and vintage wine, followed by rich flavors of cherry bark, cocoa, and apricot, and a dry sherry finish.

“National Bourbon Heritage Month feels like as good a time as ever for folks to try a smaller American whiskey that represents a lesser-known, but emerging whiskey-producing state like North Carolina,” said Tom Bogan, Oaklore Co-Founder and Master Blender.

Crafted with Care in North Carolina’s Piedmont

The Four Grain Bourbon is produced using the “big four” grains of American whiskeycorn, rye, wheat, and barley — in a 70/10/10/10 mash bill, which will now be featured in all future Oaklore Four Grain releases. Distilled on 24-inch Vendome all-copper column stills, the bourbon blends five- and six-year-old barrels of wheated and rye bourbon mash bills.

After initial aging, the whiskey is re-barreled for an additional 8–12 months in North Carolina’s humid subtropical climate, known for its broad daily temperature swings that naturally enhance the whiskey’s maturity and depth.

To finish, the bourbon rests for 12–18 months in imported Oloroso Sherry casks, adding Mediterranean influence and creating a uniquely balanced profile.
