The milestone anniversary release leans on a technique Parker Beam championed himself, and continues the collection’s tradition of funding ALS research in his name.
BARDSTOWN, KY — September 8, 2026 — Heaven Hill Distillery has unveiled the 20th edition of its Parker’s Heritage Collection, a 14-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon made using rye backset — a technique closely tied to the man the series honors, late Master Distiller Emeritus Parker Beam.
Executive Chairman Max Shapira framed the anniversary release as another chapter in an ongoing tribute, noting that each edition carries forward both Beam’s memory and his commitment to doing things the right way.
The 20th Edition draws from 100 barrels of Heaven Hill’s traditional bourbon mashbill — 78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley — distilled between October 2011 and January 2012 and aged 14 years across four rickhouses: Rickhouse A’s second floor, Rickhouse KK’s first and second floors, and the third floors of Rickhouses L and M.
What sets this edition apart is its use of rye backset during fermentation, reintroducing leftover post-distillation liquid into the next batch to build consistency and deepen flavor. Heaven Hill Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll said the approach reflects Beam’s belief that “the smallest details in the whiskey making process can have a meaningful impact” on the final bottle, adding that this release was built to showcase the depth, balance, and spice that technique produces.
Bottled at barrel proof — 118.0 — and non-chill filtered, the 20th Edition arrives nationally in limited quantities starting this September, with select allocations reaching international markets. SRP is $199.99 per 750ml bottle.
As with every release in the series, part of the proceeds will go to the ALS Association in Beam’s honor, continuing a partnership that has now generated more than $1.4 million for ALS research and patient care since Beam’s 2010 diagnosis.
