Bardstown, KY (August 27, 2024) – Heaven Hill Distillery proudly announces the release of the 18th edition of the highly anticipated Parker’s Heritage Collection®. This year’s ultra-premium release is a remarkable 14-year-old Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey, finished in Reconstructed Heavy Toast Cognac Barrels. Available in limited quantities both nationally and internationally, this exclusive edition is priced at $169.99, with a portion of proceeds supporting ALS research and patient care in honor of the late Master Distiller Emeritus, Parker Beam.
Innovative Collaboration with Master Blender Alain Royer
This exceptional edition is the result of a continued collaboration with renowned Master Blender Alain Royer, marking the third partnership between Royer and Heaven Hill for the Parker’s Heritage Collection. The whiskey, distilled in March 2009, spent 14 years aging in 128 barrels before being finished for nearly four months in 56 reconstructed heavy toast Cognac barrels. The barrels, originally housed in Rickhouse O and Rickhouse Q, were re-barreled and aged on the fifth floor of Rickhouse H1. The whiskey boasts a mashbill of 65% malted barley and 35% corn, and is bottled at 107 proof without chill filtration, ensuring the preservation of its rich, natural flavors.
A Tasting Experience Like No Other
The 18th edition is described as rich and velvety, with notes of molasses, bittersweet chocolate, cloves, and nutmeg. This limited-edition whiskey offers a unique tasting experience, reflecting Parker Beam’s legacy of innovation and dedication to quality.
Supporting ALS Research: A Legacy of Hope
Since 2013, Heaven Hill has donated over $1.3 million to ALS research and patient care through the Parker’s Heritage Collection. With this release, a portion of proceeds will once again support the ALS Association via the Parker Beam Promise of Hope Fund.
