Bourbon Heritage Month Day 14
Every year Remus Repeal Reserve Batch comes out and doesn’t receive the fan fare I think it should. Every year I traditionally am impressed with the blending of the age stock created to make this limited time offering. Let’s dive in to Remus Repeal Batch VII and see if it lives up to the hype.
Just the Facts:
- Style: Straight Bourbon Whiskey

- Age: Five different age components: 16, 10, 10, 9 & 9

Jake’s Tasting Notes: Remus Repeal Batch VII
Nose: leather and oak meet your nose at first whiff. As you move past those bold flavors at the beginning butter cream and dried apricot begin to take over for a well balanced nose.
Palate: Oak and leather with sweet butter cream icing and dried apricot to pair spot on with the nose. After letting the pour sit for a minute it tastes like my wife’s Starbucks order smell: Sweet Cold Foam, Cold Brew coffee.
Finish: Really like the finish as it is balanced with oak and dried apricot.
Closing Thoughts
As of right now this pour has entered my top five of 2023. Remus Repeal Reserve Batch VII is a well round pour that hits a lot of high points for me personally. Don’t miss out on this pour this year because I think you will regret it.
