Secrets of Smoke is available globally. It has a limited release of 9,792 bottles. The 700ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $165. It will be accessible this month for adventurous whisky drinkers.
Unique Flavor Profile: Uncovering Sweetness in Peated Whiskies
Secrets of Smoke explores complex layers of coastal smokiness balanced by honey, caramel, and buttery pear notes. This unique blend, created through innovative cask finishes, reveals the hidden sweetness of peated malts. Caol Ila, finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks, brings forward fruity, creamy tones. Peat Monster aged in red wine casks also contributes to these flavors. Laphroaig matured in Marsala barriques lends a rich, floral finish.
Tasting Notes: Honey and toasted marshmallow with buttery pear and caramel, followed by a palate of spicy pear, peach, and melon. The finish reveals a smooth, chocolatey peat, enhanced by coastal smokiness.
