[Lovingston, VA] – September 3, 2024 – Virginia Distillery Co. proudly announces the launch of The Brewer’s Coalition, an innovative limited-edition range of American Single Malt whiskies, finished in beer casks from top U.S. breweries. This exciting new series brings together the best of whisky and craft beer, delivering a unique flavor experience.

First Fall Releases in The Brewer’s Coalition

The Brewer’s Coalition kicks off with two distinct Fall releases in collaboration with Goose Island Brewery in Chicago, IL, and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery in Richmond, VA.

Goose Island Bourbon County Stout Cask Finish American Single Malt
- This American Single Malt whisky is finished in barrels from Goose Island’s iconic Bourbon County Stout. It offers rich aromas of brown sugar, coffee beans, and honeycomb, with notes of malty chocolate, citrus, cinnamon, and hazelnuts on the palate.
- Bottled-in-bond, 100 proof (50% ABV) | Price: $49.95
Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Cask Finish American Single Malt
- Finished in barrels that once held Hardywood’s famous Gingerbread Stout, this whisky presents aromas of candied lemon peel, apricot, and ginger. On the palate, enjoy flavors of walnuts, gingerbread cookies, vanilla icing, and a hint of baking spice.

The Brewer’s Coalition will be available starting in September 2024. Look for the Goose Island Bourbon County Stout Barrel-Finished Single Malt and Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Barrel-Finished Single Malt at select retailers, bars, and at Virginia Distillery Co.’s tasting room.
