LEXINGTON, KY (March 26, 2026) — Town Branch Distillery, a cornerstone of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®, has secured the highest whiskey honors at the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards in Seoul. Competing against over 1,100 brands, the Town Branch Single Barrel Reserve Bourbon – Kaja Ulsan No. 1 Private Cask was awarded the Grand Prize and named one of the “Best of 2026” across all beverage categories.

The winning expression, a 120.1-proof powerhouse, yielded only 198 bottles and was selected by South Korean partner Apex Brands Corp. The award marks a significant milestone for the Lexington-based distillery as it continues to expand its global footprint, leveraging the international logistics of its parent company, Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. (Alltech).

“In 2022 we began the exclusive import of Town Branch to South Korea after identifying a gap in Kentucky bourbon selection,” says Mike Chae, founder of Apex Brands Corp. “Town Branch Single Barrel Reserve Bourbon is our best seller, and we have built a tremendous customer base for it—it’s exceptional to see it recognized with such high honors in our market.”

Town Branch remains one of the best values in the premium whiskey market, with its Single Barrel Reserve (SRP $49.99+) offering a robust, cask-strength profile aged an average of 7+ years.
