Whiskey Thief Louisville Bats Partnership

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 3, 2026) – The Louisville Bats and Whiskey Thief Distilling Co. have announced a multi-year partnership that will redefine premium hospitality at Louisville Slugger Field. Starting with the 2026 season, fans will be able to experience Kentucky’s signature spirit through two newly rebranded luxury spaces: the Whiskey Thief Backstop and the Whiskey Thief Stadium Club.

This collaboration marks a significant expansion for Whiskey Thief, which recently opened its Tasting & Listening Room in the NuLu district, just blocks away from the ballpark.

A First for Minor League Baseball: The Whiskey Thief Backstop

The highlight of the partnership is the transformation of the former On-Deck Club into The Backstop. This speakeasy-style bourbon lounge is located directly behind home plate, offering fans an immersive view of the game from padded seats that are closer to the batter than the pitcher.

Inclusive Experience: Tickets include an all-inclusive buffet with food and beverages (beer/wine).
Premium Access: Fans can enjoy exclusive pours of Whiskey Thief’s uncut and unfiltered bourbon.

Elevating the View: The Whiskey Thief Stadium Club

Located on the second level, the Whiskey Thief Stadium Club provides a panoramic view of the field and the East Waterfront of downtown Louisville. This renovated lounge and bar will serve as a premier destination for fans during games and a year-round venue for corporate and private events.

The Return of the Louisville Mashers

Whiskey Thief will also become the presenting partner of the Louisville Mashers, the Bats’ fan-favorite alternate identity. The team will take the field as the Mashers three times during the 2026 season, during which fans can enjoy exclusive Whiskey Thief tastings on the main concourse.

Opening Night 2026

The Louisville Bats officially kick off the season at Louisville Slugger Field on Friday, March 27, at 7:15 p.m. against the Omaha Storm Chasers. Fans looking to experience the new Whiskey Thief hospitality areas are encouraged to book early.
