Whisky Live in the Music City

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, whiskey brands from around the world flocked to the Music City. Whiskey Live is an experience for lovers of the brown spirit and gives them a taste of more than America’s Native Spirit, bourbon. This unique showcase attracted many bourbon drinkers like myself with brands such as Heaven Hill, Michter’s, and Bardstown Bourbon Company. While the big brands may have prompted you to buy the ticket, you stayed for the unique taste of Single Malt Whiskies.

This unique experience is great for people who are whiskey enthusiasts and even those who are newly exposed to the world of whiskey. Case in point, my good friend who hasn’t dabbled in the single malt category. By the end of the day, he wasn’t talking about bourbon, but the need to expand his bottle collection into other varieties of whiskey.

As a podcast who focuses on more than bourbon, it was great to branch out and try brands that may be commonplace to the more advanced single malt drinker. Bourbon Lens has a developed a strong interest in single malts and we look to expand our coverage of world whisky’s in the near future. Below are just a few of the brands that were featured during the Whisky Live Event. Some of these have already been featured on the Bourbon Lens, while we look to have others on in the coming months.

I would be remiss if I didn’t give a huge shoutout to the teams at CorkDorks and Bevridge for hosting us and allowing us the opportunity to cover the event.
