Jake’s Tasting Notes: Widow Jane The Vaults 2023
- Nose: Grain forward, creamy, cinnamon sugar and vanilla
- Palate: brown sugar, red fruit and cinnamon. This for me has a great cream soda flavor
- Finish: Red cream soda flavors that linger for a good long finish.
Scott’s Tasting Notes: Widow Jane The Vaults 2023
- Nose: Cinnamon, cedar, and a punch of oak
- Palate: Oaky, with hints of fresh pipe tobacco, vanilla, and butterscotch with a very thick mouthfeel.
- Finish: The finish highlights the Chinquapin Oak casks for a medium to long finish
Closing Thoughts:
The Vaults 2023 does not disappoint. The flavors are well balanced for a 15 year old bourbon blend and brings a ton of boldness. This is one bourbon that may close out the year high on Scott and Jake’s list.
