New from Walsh Whiskey Writers’ Tears Double Oak is a true Irish whiskey using malted and un-malted barley, triple distilled and using both French and American Oak. This one I have a feeling is going to take me on a wild ride with the use of both oak profiles.

Nose: A beautiful bouquet of soft floral notes that are followed up by plum and white grape.
Palate: Full of flavor! Soft peppery notes balanced with floral flavors.
Finish: Lingering mocha and spice for a full body finish.
Closing Thoughts:
This true Irish Whiskey is one for a more refined palate. You have to hunt for flavors and aromas. While it isn’t the most expensive whiskey on the market it does give you layers of flavor that are fun to discover
