KIRBY, Wyo. (February 26, 2026) – Wyoming Whiskey has officially announced the fifth installment of its acclaimed National Parks Series, continuing its mission to liquid-map the American West while supporting land conservation. This year’s release, National Parks No. 5: A Tribute to the Tetons, arrives alongside a highly limited, 10-year-old expression named Moran.
Both releases lean heavily into the intersection of art and nature, featuring the work of British-American painter Thomas Moran, whose 19th-century landscapes were instrumental in the atmospheric shift toward Western conservation.
National Parks No. 5: A Tribute to the Tetons
This 5-year-old straight bourbon is bottled at 96 proof and crafted from locally sourced, non-GMO grains. The profile is defined by the volatile temperature swings of the Big Horn Basin, which forces the whiskey deep into the oak.
- Nose: Honey crullers, cinnamon sugar, and toasted almond.
- Palate: Cherry liqueur, vanilla whip, and floral honey.
- Finish: Espresso, milk chocolate, and a hint of rugged leather.
- MSRP: $74.99 (Available nationwide and online).
The Debut of “Moran”
Named after both the artist and the iconic 12,610-foot Mt. Moran, this 10-year-old bourbon represents a new pinnacle for the distillery. At 110 proof, it offers a bolder, more adventurous profile for collectors.
- Tasting Notes: Red fruits and white chocolate on the nose; a palate of blackberry jam, cinnamon apple, and chewy toffee; finishing with oak spice and zesty citrus.
- MSRP: $500 (Extremely limited; rolling out Spring 2026).
A Legacy of Conservation
A portion of every sale supports the Grand Teton National Park Foundation. To date, Wyoming Whiskey’s partnerships have helped restore over 10 miles of the Teton Crest Trail and engaged hundreds of Indigenous youth in ancestral land programs.
David DeFazio, Wyoming Whiskey co-founder, shares:
“For those of you who’ve been following Wyoming Whiskey over the years, you’re aware of our ongoing commitment to the preservation of wide-open spaces. The cornerstone of our commitment is the support of our National Parks… With National Parks No. 5, we feature Grand Teton with a historic image by Thomas Moran titled The Three Tetons. This straight bourbon whiskey is five years old, bottled at 96 proof, and I must say hitting all the right notes with the flavor profile.”
On the personal connection to the Tetons, DeFazio adds:
“Our company was born in the shadow of these mountains. Literally. And the Mead family has a rich history woven into the creation of the Park. As a result, this release is personal to us. Obtaining a bottle of NP5 not only financially benefits Grand Teton National Park, but delivers a taste of Wyoming in every glass. I hope you like it.”
