2XO "Rapper's Delight" Hip-Hop Blend With The Sugarhill Gang

2XO Whiskey and blender Dixon Dedman have teamed up with hip-hop group The Sugarhill Gang on “Rapper’s Delight” The Hip-Hop Blend (SRP $79.99/750mL). It is the seventh release in 2XO’s Collectibles Series (formerly the Icon Series). It was inspired by Dedman’s love of rap and the 1979 hit “Rapper’s Delight,” which is widely credited with bringing rap to a mainstream audience.

“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with the legendary Sugarhill Gang and their historic single, ‘Rapper’s Delight’,” says Dixon. “It’s surreal to collaborate with such a generational and iconic team. The Hip-Hop Blend is a brown sugar bomb with loads of weight and viscosity on the front of the palate. It’s unique and classic, like this collaboration.”

It’s an amazing way to honor where hip-hop came from while creating something entirely new to share with our fans.”

What’s in it: 2XO means “Two Times Oak.” Every expression gets extra oak exposure to build sweetness and balance rye spice. 90% of this blend is a high-rye (35%) bourbon that was double-barreled for 9–12 months in new #3 and #4 char barrels. The other 10% is a moderate-rye (18%) bourbon.
