When you think of celebrity brands which comes to your mind? You may think of a few but Heaven’s Door in collaboration with Bob Dylan may be the most well known. However, I didn’t know much about the brand. So when our good friend Adam Edwards was hired I started to pay attention a little more to Heaven’s Door. The sample for Heaven’s Door Decades Series -Bourbon set on my bar for a while but its now time to dive in!

Jake’s tasting notes: Heaven’s Door Decades Series Bourbon
Nose: cinnamon, vanilla, coca, and subtle additional baking spices
Palate: this bourbon boast a delicate palate with flavors of baked apple, toasted cinnamon and bitter dark chocolate
Finish: Slight spice with a finish of chocolate
Scott’s tasting notes: Heaven’s Door Decades Series Bourbon
Nose: Waves of cinnamon followed by herbal notes of dill. On the backend of the nose are fruit forward notes such as apple and grape.
Palate: warm apples and vanilla.
Finish: Lingering notes for a long finish
Closing Thoughts:
Heaven’s Door Decades Series Bourbon is a very tasty pour overall. I think if you are looking for a bourbon that hits all those traditional notes this is a pour for you! I enjoyed my sample to go back to it a time or two!
