LOUIS, MO (August 15, 2024) – Lux Row Distillers is set to release the highly anticipated Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition, a limited-edition collection of three rare and collectible bourbons: Pacts 7, 8, and 9. This exclusive set will be available starting in September, with only 1,400 sets produced, reflecting its rarity and craftsmanship. Priced at a suggested retail of $799.99, the Trilogy is a must-have for bourbon enthusiasts and collectors alike.
A Decade of Masterful Bourbon Blending
Master Distiller John Rempe has spent a decade meticulously selecting and blending some of the finest bourbons for the Blood Oath series. Each Pact is a unique combination of rare bourbons, aged to perfection and finished in specialty casks. The secrecy surrounding the origins of these bourbons adds to the allure, making each release a highly sought-after event in the bourbon world.
The Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition
The third edition of the Blood Oath Trilogy features Pacts 7, 8, and 9, each aged and reserved since 2021, 2022, and 2023, respectively. Each 750mL bottle is presented in a custom black wooden display box, emphasizing the distinctive labels and premium quality of the bourbon inside. Bottled at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV), these bourbons offer a unique tasting experience that will never be replicated.
Pact 7:
A blend of a 14-year ryed bourbon and two 8-year ryed bourbons, one of which was finished in Sauternes casks from Bordeaux, France. Expect a nose of caramel, oak, and honey, with flavor notes of apricots, honey, and peaches.
Pact 8:
Combines a 14-year ryed bourbon, an 11-year ryed bourbon, and an 8-year ryed bourbon finished in Calvados casks from Normandy, France. This blend offers an apple-forward nose with hints of vanilla and cinnamon, followed by flavors of ripe apples, juicy pears, butterscotch, and a touch of chocolate.
Pact 9:
Features a blend of a 16-year ryed bourbon, a 12-year ryed bourbon, and a 7-year ryed bourbon finished in Oloroso Sherry casks from the Sherry Triangle in Spain. The cask finishing imparts sweet sherry notes, ripe fruit, and spicy oak on the nose, with a complex palate to match.
