Limited Edition 30 Seasons Bourbon Commemorative Bottle Launches for 2024 NFL Season
STATESVILLE, N.C. (August 29, 2024) – Southern Star, the award-winning craft bourbon line from North Carolina’s Southern Distilling Company and the Official Craft Bourbon of the Carolina Panthers, proudly announces a Special Barrel Release to celebrate 30 years of Carolina Panthers football. This exclusive, limited edition is a small batch Paragon Cognac Finish of Southern Star Cask Strength Paragon Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
In collaboration with the Carolina Panthers, Southern Distilling Company pays tribute to North Carolina’s rich history with this unique release. To mark the 30th season milestone, Southern Distilling will host a release party on Saturday, September 7, at their Statesville Tasting Room. The event begins at 10 a.m., featuring Panthers Legends autograph sessions from 1-3 p.m. Fans can also enjoy tastings of the new bourbon and Southern Star signature cocktails.
This limited edition is capped at 3,000 bottles and will be available exclusively at the distillery and select locations in North and South Carolina.

The Southern Star 2024 Carolina Panthers Limited Series Paragon Cognac Finish Cask Strength Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a nine-barrel blend, aged six years, and hand-selected by Barger. Finished with virgin oak Cognac staves, this bourbon delivers a rich, complex profile with notes of French vanilla, caramel, maple, roasted pecan, and sweet oak. The palate offers flavors of baker’s spice, salted caramel, vanilla bean, and cinnamon, with a smooth, balanced finish of vanilla, spice, citrus, and light heat.
Priced at $99.95 MSRP and bottled at 106 Proof, this release is the second edition of a five-year collector’s series, each celebrating the Panthers’ history. The commemorative bottle features a decorative neck hanger with an eight-page guide highlighting past games, historical photos, and the 2024 Panthers schedule.
