Auto racing and whiskey collaborations continue with the latest news of the new release from WhistlePig. As if the collaboration wasn’t unique enough already, this time “Rye befriends Gin” with the release of WhistlePig PiggyBack Rye: Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber Single Barrel. WhistlePig Whiskey is waving the checkered flag on a new Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber official whiskey. The second limited edition of their annual release, WhistlePig PiggyBack Rye: Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber Single Barrel was selected by the drivers as their official team whiskey.
To fuel the team’s journey to the top of the podium, WhistlePig is staking $1.77M in profits from the limited-edition release on a Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber victory. They’re betting on speed, precision and style in the pursuit of P1 for the 2024 season.
Rye befriends Gin in WhistlePig PiggyBack Rye: Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber Single Barrel, which is aged for six years in New American Oak and finnished in Valtteri Bottas’ OΛTH Gin barrels. The OΛTH Gin is vacuum distilled from oats and apple peels in Bottas’ Finnish homeland, with the barrels adding softness, crisp apple and gentle pine notes and finishing with the classic WhistlePig rye spice. The final whiskey is bottled at 100.77 proof – a nod to Valtteri Bottas’ racing number, #77, on the track.
In the spirit of combining the profound differences between the concepts of fast and slow, Bottas and WhistlePig presents ‘Bo Talks,’ an outrageous and groundbreaking look at speed on the track, vs. slow whiskey making.
