Versailles, KY (October 15, 2024) — Woodford Reserve has celebrated 20 years of pioneering cask finishes. It unveiled its highly anticipated fall 2024 Master’s Collection release: Madeira Cask Finish. This limited-edition bottle features Woodford Reserve whiskey finished in Madeira casks. It is blended with wheat whiskey. It joins an exclusive lineage as the 20th release in the Master’s Collection. This series first set the standard for bourbon innovation.
The Madeira Cask Finish is not just another release. It is a milestone that honors Woodford Reserve’s history of introducing wine cask finishes to the bourbon world. “In 2007, Woodford Reserve was among the first bourbons to finish in wine casks,” said Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall. “It was a bold move then, and now this 20th expression celebrates that heritage with a new Madeira wine cask.”
Introduced in 2006 with the debut release, “Four Grain,” the Master’s Collection brought modern innovation to Kentucky’s historic bourbon craft.
