SPARTA, KY (Dec. 12, 2024) – Hidden Barn Bourbon announces the latest addition to its celebrated Series One expression: Slow Fade, the tenth release crafted by Master Blender Jackie Zykan. Slow Fade is named for its sweet, lingering finish. It continues the legacy of high-quality, small-batch bourbons. These are created in partnership with Neeley Family Distillery.
This blend of five-to-six-year-old barrels highlights Neeley’s flagship mashbill of 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malted barley. Crafted with wild Appalachian yeast, sweet mash, and open cypress fermentation tanks, Slow Fade showcases a depth of flavor achieved through the Neeley Family’s time-honored, double pot distillation process.
Slow Fade: Tasting Notes and Release Details
According to Jackie Zykan:
“Very well balanced, with brown butter, black cherry, and a bit of orange zest on the nose. Dark cacao and hazelnut lead the palate and the mouthfeel is perfectly viscous. The sweetness slow fades on the finish, rounding out with balanced warmth and clean longevity.”
