PARK CITY, UTAH – February 2025 – High West Distillery is proud to announce the latest release of its High Country American Single Malt, a distinctive Utah-distilled and blended single malt whiskey aged 4 to 8 years in the Wasatch Mountains. This year’s release comes at a historic time for the American whiskey industry, following last month’s decision by the TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) to officially recognize American Single Malt as an official whiskey category in the U.S.
A Bold Flavor Profile with Unique Cask Influence
Renowned for its rich and full-bodied character, this year’s High Country American Single Malt showcases an extraordinary range of flavors, including:
🥃 Sourdough French Toast
🥃 Crème Caramel
🥃 Fresh-Picked Kumquats
This 2025 expression was crafted by aging the blended single malt whiskeys in both used and new charred white American oak barrels, with a portion finished in French oak Ruby Port, Oloroso Sherry, and PX Sherry casks. The result is a complex and layered whiskey with a slightly older age perception and a distinctly robust flavor profile.

- Palate: Rich layered toffee notes, ripe cantaloupe, graham cracker, crème caramel, dried hay, puffed cereal, cocoa nibs, leather
- Finish: Fresh-picked kumquats, maple pecan pie
