FALLON, NV (February 21, 2025) – Whiskey lovers, get ready for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience as Frey Ranch® Distillery introduces Frey Ranch 100% Barley Whiskey, the latest addition to its Single Grain Series. This groundbreaking release is the first-ever unmalted barley whiskey from the farm-to-glass distillery, delivering a creamy, full-bodied profile unlike traditional single malts.
“As farmers first and foremost, we’ve always believed that if you care about how your food is grown, then you should care just as much about how your whiskey is grown,” said Co-Founder and Whiskey Farmer Colby Frey. “With this release, we’re showcasing one of the whiskey world’s most essential grains—barley—while offering a richer, more viscous tasting experience thanks to the use of unmalted barley.”
Crafted from two-row unmalted barley, pot distilled, and aged for four years and eight months, this 110-proof whiskey boasts notes of peanut butter & jelly, sweet pastry, honey, and allspice, finishing with a nostalgic hint of Honey Nut Cheerios.
As part of Frey Ranch’s commitment to farm-to-glass craftsmanship, 100% of the grains used in this whiskey were grown, harvested, milled, and distilled on-site. The Single Grain Series has already introduced unique expressions like American Single Malt Smoked Whiskey, 100% Malted Corn Whiskey, 100% Oat Whiskey, and 100% Wheat Whiskey.
