Master Distiller’s Signature Pair of Whiskeys to Further Grow Community Giveback Campaign
Newport, KY (March 26, 2025) – New Riff Distilling has announced the release of two additional Silver Grove specialty bourbon and rye whiskeys, celebrating the region’s distilling heritage and New Riff’s future with its warehouse in Silver Grove, KY. These barrel-proof expressions are the first New Riff whiskeys to carry the signature of Master Distiller Brian Sprance, highlighting the art of blending and whiskey in its purest form.
Proceeds from these commemorative releases, which have already raised nearly $62,000, will continue supporting the Silver Grove Community Foundation.
Silver Grove Bourbon & Rye: A New Chapter in New Riff’s Legacy
The inaugural Silver Grove blend, released in 2023, merged vintage inspiration with bold, barrel-proof bourbon, featuring malted grains. In 2024, New Riff introduced a new Bourbon alongside its first-ever Rye.

2025 Silver Grove Straight Bourbon Whiskey

- Mashbill: 60% corn, 35% rye, 5% malted barley
- Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Maple sugar, blackberries, rye bread
- Palate: Honeyed dark fruits, brown sugar, baking spices
- Finish: Bold, spicy oak with lasting fruit notes
2025 Silver Grove Straight Rye Whiskey
- Age: 4 years
- Proof: 110.2
- Mashbill: 95% rye, 5% malted rye
- Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Spearmint, raspberry jam, whipped butter, citrus, gingerbread
- Palate: Clove-forward spice, oak, tannic wood
- Finish: Cedar and classic rye spice

Supporting the Silver Grove Community
The Silver Grove Community Foundation funds community-led projects in Silver Grove, KY. Proceeds from previous Silver Grove whiskey sales helped develop a new park at Green Valley Pond, adding utility installations and a recreational trail connecting to the local sidewalk network.
New Riff, which expanded to Silver Grove in 2022 to build a new rickhouse, saw this as an opportunity to give back while continuing its philanthropic efforts in Northern Kentucky.
