PARK CITY, Utah (October 5, 2025) — High West Distillery has announced the release of its highly anticipated A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 13, the latest chapter in its beloved annual series. Inspired by Shakespeare’s timeless play, this limited-edition whiskey captures the fleeting magic of the season with a complex blend of flavors and aromas.
Crafted from High West’s flagship Rendezvous Rye — a blend of straight rye whiskeys aged 4 to 10 years — Act 13 is finished in Ruby and Tawny Port barrels. The result is a whiskey that balances richness, spice, and a touch of dreamlike sweetness.
A Dram Fit for the Winter Stage
Ushering in the cooler months, Act 13 reveals notes of marionberry preserves, chocolate-dripped cherries, marbled rye bread, mochaccino cinnamon bark, oolong tea, winter pine, and a smoldering Havana cigar.
On the nose, drinkers will find crushed blackberries, mandarin zest, almond shortbread, fig jam, dulce de membrillo, allspice, and old vine zinfandel, with plum syrup spilled on a mahogany table.
The finish is described as velvety and spiced, with touches of chai foam, clove-studded orange flesh, and soft ginger chew — a poetic close to a remarkable pour.
