Bourbon Heritage Month Day 10 Review

When the news broke of the second release of Baker’s 13, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a sample! Let’s dive into this sample of Baker’s 13 Single Barrel bourbon!

Jake’s Tasting Notes: Baker’s 13 Single Barrel Bourbon

Nose: It starts with strong notes of coco powder, which fades to citrus and peach.

Palate: Very oak forward, with fruit cocktail flavors with a hint of cherry. On the second sip the flavors go more intense to leather, deep red fruits, with a pop of cinnamon sugar.

Finish: Rich oak, leather and tobacco that fades to cinnamon sugar for an appetizing finish.

Bourbon Lens Closing Thoughts

This Bourbon lives up to the hype for me. I found it to be a pour that was enjoyable and changed over the time in my glass. Baker’s 13 Single Barrel Bourbon would be a bottle I would hunt and add to my collection.

About Baker’s Bourbon

Baker’s Bourbon is a Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 107 proof and aged a minimum of seven years. Created in 1992 by Sixth Generation Beam Master Distiller Booker Noe as part of the original Small Batch Bourbon Collection, Baker’s Bourbon is named in honor of Baker Beam – grand-nephew of Jim Beam and a tenured distiller who worked at the Jim Beam Distillery for 38 years. Originally created as a small batch bourbon, Baker’s Bourbon re-emerged as a single barrel product in 2019 to celebrate the individual characteristics inside each and every Baker’s Bourbon barrel, while delivering the smooth, medium-bodied bourbon fans enjoy.
