Black Velvet Velvet Collection: 12, 15 & 20-Year Whiskies

Black Velvet Canadian Whisky has launched the Velvet Collection, a four-expression lineup of aged Canadian whiskies, alongside a new campaign featuring supermodel Christie Brinkley.

Brinkley first appeared in Black Velvet advertising in 1978. The new campaign pairs fresh photography from a recent shoot with elements of her original ads, marking the brand’s 75th year.

“For 75 years, Black Velvet has held a distinctive place in whisky culture, built on the smoothness, confidence and approachability that have defined the brand for generations,” said Aaron Wilke, AVP at Black Velvet Whisky. “Christie is genuinely part of that story. Her return gives us an incredibly authentic way to honor our history while introducing the Velvet Collection and showing consumers where Black Velvet is headed next.”

The Velvet Collection includes:

12-Year-Old Signature (80 proof): caramel, honey, rye spice, stone fruit, apple and pear, with a smooth, dry finish.
12-Year-Old Tawny Port Finish (80 proof): finished in tawny port casks; toffee, mocha, tropical fruit, allspice and clove.
15-Year-Old Select Rye Recipe (80 proof): intense rye spice, brown sugar, lavender, caramel, honey and cedarwood.
20-Year-Old Legacy (90 proof): honey, raisin, stone fruit and florals on a creamy palate of rye grain, baking spice and vanilla.
