ASW Distillery’s official collaboration with John Deere, the first spirits partnership John Deere has ever authorized, is in contention for year-end best-of lists. ASW spent two years building the release.
The partnership pairs two eight-year-old, 112-proof Fiddler whiskeys, each priced at $79.99:
- Fiddler Combine Bourbon: a wheated bourbon with an unusually high 45% wheat mash bill. Notes of pecan pie, butterscotch and baking spice.
- Fiddler Steel Plow Rye: a 95% rye that’s bold and spice-forward, with notes of caramel, black pepper and rich oak.
Both whiskeys are finished on Georgia oak that ASW’s master distiller harvests and chars himself.
The tie-in runs deeper than a logo. ASW co-founder Jim Chasteen grew up in a family of farmers who ran John Deere tractors, and he farmed with one himself. More at aswdistillery.com/fiddler.
