A Tribute to Booker Noe’s Restless Ingenuity and Experimental Spirit
The final Booker’s® Bourbon release of 2025 has arrived, and it comes with a story as bold as the whiskey itself. The Booker’s “Phantom Pipes Batch” (2025-04) celebrates the inventive and unyielding nature of Booker Noe, the brand’s legendary namesake and sixth-generation Beam distiller.
The name “Phantom Pipes” originates from a discovery made in the rafters of the historic Boston, Kentucky distillery — a maze of pipes that led nowhere. These mysterious remnants turned out to be the handiwork of Booker Noe himself, the result of endless experimentation and tinkering in pursuit of perfecting his craft.
“Dad was always connecting one thing to another, chasing the next great idea with whatever he had on hand,” recalled Fred Noe, Booker’s son and current Master Distiller. “Those pipes became a symbol of Booker’s way — not always the easy way, but the right way to make great bourbon.”
Bottled Uncut and Unfiltered
Booker’s “Phantom Pipes Batch” stays true to the brand’s signature approach: bottled uncut and unfiltered at 126.4 proof, following 7 years, 6 months, and 15 days of aging. The whiskey embodies the brand’s hallmark characteristics — rich vanilla on the nose, a full-bodied spice on the palate, and a long, lingering finish that rewards patience and persistence.
Each batch of Booker’s Bourbon is unique, drawn from select barrels aged across multiple warehouses. For this release, the batch is composed of barrels from five different production dates and the following locations:
- 22% from the fourth floor of 7-story Warehouse 3
- 11% from the fifth floor of 7-story Warehouse 1
- 30% from the sixth floor of 7-story Warehouse G (Waterfill)
- 9% from the third floor of 7-story Warehouse O
- 28% from the fifth floor of 7-story Warehouse 4
Booker’s “Phantom Pipes Batch” is priced at $99.99 SRP and will see limited, nationwide distribution.
