- Availability: Limited to 1984 bottles; distillery release event on September 7, 2024.
Tasting Notes: Boulder Cask Strength 2024
Nose: strawberry jam followed by a big rush of vanilla, toasted bread with brown sugar and cinnamon, then a wave of dark fruit opens up as you dive in for your first taste.
Palate: chocolate, creamy cocoa, malt, and raisins. The heat from proof is evident but not overbearing. With a drop or two of water, the bourbon develops a nice sweet, green tea note.
Finish: Long and warming.
Closing Thoughts:
As expected, the 2024 Boulder Cask Strength Bourbon delivers. In fact, this limited, annual release always delivers. It’s rich, full of flavor and exactly what any bourbon drinker should come to expect from a limited release, cask strength bourbon. I highly recommend this release if you are able to snag a bottle this year.
