Full Details on the Release:

Perhaps the most highly anticipated Colorado whiskey to be bottled this year now has a release date. On Saturday, September 7th, the public will be able to taste and purchase Boulder Spirits 2024 Cask Strength Bourbon at Vapor Distillery in Boulder, Colorado. They are the only Colorado distillery to reach top 30 in the famed Top 100 American whiskeys list for two years running, finishing in spots #10 and #28.

American whiskey writer, Fred Minnick, who organizes the Top 100 list says this about Colorado: “I think there’s something special going on in Colorado, and I think everybody needs to pay attention to that.”

“We’re more lucky than good,” quips head blender, Ryan Negley. He adds on with earnest, “We’re lucky to be here in Colorado. We’re lucky this unique aging environment is a part of our whiskey’s DNA.”

Each barrel of whiskey was selected individually, and then ‘married’ or rested together for a total of 3 months in a stainless steel tank to create the batch prior to bottling.

“This level of detail is crucial to producing world class whiskey, or spirit of any kind. Every step along the way matters, and there’s no substitution for time.” says Negley.

Only 1,984 bottles were produced. By comparison, the elusive Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year is said to release close to 3,000 bottles. This year’s edition of Cask Strength Bourbon will see an age statement of 7 years, and is a marriage of 15 barrels.

Tickets for the release will go on sale on Boulder Spirits’ website beginning July 23rd. The whiskey will be distributed to stores, bars, and restaurants in the weeks following the public release. Boulder Spirits’ website will also have limited availability for shipping into select markets throughout the U.S.

About Boulder Spirits:

The Boulder Spirits story begins with a man and his dream of captaining a single malt distillery. Alastair Brogan moved to the United States from Scotland in 2012 with the goal of making world class whiskey; in 2024, the mission continues. The goal is to create new ripples in the whiskey flavor pond. That, and to share those flavors with the world.
