Breckenridge Distillery’s new limited-edition expression was created to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary and the spirit of Independence Day.

The Colorado distillery, part of Tilray Brands and one of the most decorated craft whiskey producers in the United States, unveiled the new release on June 16. Patriotic Reserve is intended as both a tribute to American craftsmanship and a recognition of the veterans and active-duty service members whose sacrifices help preserve the country’s freedoms.

Crafted from a blend of straight bourbons made with grains sourced from America’s heartland and proofed with Rocky Mountain water at Breckenridge Distillery, the whiskey is bottled at 86 proof and features a high-rye mash bill. According to the distillery, the expression delivers a profile designed to be approachable while maintaining the bold character expected from a rye-forward bourbon.

“Patriotic Reserve pays tribute to the spirit that defines this country—resilience, independence, and shared pride,” said Bryan Nolt, Founder and CEO of Breckenridge Distillery. “As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we set out to create a whiskey that honors those values and brings people together to celebrate them—whether around the table on the Fourth of July or in quiet gratitude for those who serve.”

Breckenridge says the bourbon can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in seasonal cocktails such as the Uncle Sam’s Julep, making it a versatile addition to summer celebrations and holiday gatherings. The release joins a growing number of commemorative whiskeys arriving ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

Breckenridge Patriotic Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is now available through national retailers and via home delivery where permitted. The limited release carries a suggested retail price between $34.99 and $39.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
