Holiday Programming Returns to Buffalo Trace Distillery from December 4–31.

Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced the return of its 27th annual “Holidays at the Trace” celebration, running from December 4–31, 2025 in Frankfort, Kentucky. The distillery will transform into a holiday destination featuring festive décor, retail offerings, and its signature evening program, Spirited Nights.

Spirited Nights Features Two Distinct Experiences

The Spirited Nights: Light Trail Experience will be offered on 12 select evenings in December and is complimentary for all guests. Visitors can explore thousands of holiday lights across the distillery’s grounds, including a 60-foot light tunnel and themed displays. Seasonal food and beverages will be available, including a Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream Hot Chocolate Bar. Guests 21+ may enjoy complimentary tastings of Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream. Reservations open on November 18 at 10 a.m. ET and are required.

The second option, Spirited Nights: Cocktails & Cheer, is a premium 21+ upgrade priced at $25 per person. This ticket includes access to the Light Trail Experience and the Distillery’s Holiday Cocktail Trail, where guests receive three winter cocktails featuring Buffalo Trace brands. Additional take-home items include a Spirited Nights tote bag, a Buffalo Trace souvenir cup, and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream minis.

Drive-Through Light Show Open Nightly

The distillery will also host its Holidays at the Trace Drive-Through Light Show, a complimentary attraction open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. throughout the duration of the event. Visitors may view illuminated displays across the historic grounds from the comfort of their vehicle.

Expanded Holiday Retail Offerings

Buffalo Trace’s gift shop will feature extended hours and expanded online shopping options, including new 2025 apparel, specialty gifts, and for the first time, Whiskey Woodcraft items available nationwide. Offerings include apparel from brands such as Buffalo Trace, Weller, and Pappy Van Winkle; Blanton’s golf headcovers; engraved cocktail kits; Bourbon Cream gift sets; and custom woodworking pieces such as barrel heads, Glencairn holders, and cocktail muddlers crafted on-site from authentic bourbon barrels.

Distillery Leadership Highlights Community Tradition

“Buffalo Trace Distillery has always been a place where people come together to celebrate, and the holidays are no different,” said Tyler Adams, Buffalo Trace Distillery General Manager. “Holidays at the Trace offers something for everyone. Whether you’re here for the lights, the shopping, or the spirit of the season, we are honored to be part of so many cherished family traditions.”
