On May 21st, Bushmills Irish Whiskey launched the highly anticipated final addition to their esteemed Rare Cask series. The Rare Cask 04, boasting an impressive 31-year age statement, is expertly crafted and matured in bourbon, sherry, and virgin American oak casks.
Prior to this release, Bushmills’ Rare Cask series showcased a stellar lineup featuring 28, 29, and 30-year-old expressions, each finished in unique cask types. With over 400 years of whiskey-making heritage, Bushmills continues to lead the charge in innovation within the Irish Single Malt category, surpassing competitors in both age statements and pioneering techniques.
Bushmills Rare Cask 04 undergoes a meticulous triple-cask maturation process, spending its initial 14 years in bourbon barrels and sherry butts before being transferred to pristine, custom-toasted American oak casks, overseen by Master Distiller Alex Thomas.
The result is a whiskey of deep copper hue, exuding intense aromas of ripe fruit, warm vanilla, rich oak, honey, spiced pear, and dried fruit. On the palate, it delivers a luxurious experience with layers of honey, vanilla, creamy milk chocolate, pear, sweet apple, and warming spiced coconut, culminating in a finish accented by sweet warm vanilla honey and gentle spice.
Available for a limited time, Bushmills Rare Cask 04 can be acquired online exclusively at ReserveBar.com and at select retailers nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $2,600. Whiskey enthusiasts are encouraged to stay updated on upcoming releases and news by visiting Bushmills.com.
