Chattanooga Whiskey Unveils New Bottled in Bond: Fall 2020 Vintage

Chattanooga Whiskey has announced the latest release in its Bottled in Bond Vintage Series: Fall 2020. This release features whiskey barreled between July and December 2020. The new blend highlights the rich flavors typical of the fall and winter seasons, featuring a mix of “roasted” bourbon mash bills. Produced exclusively at the Riverfront Distillery, this seasonal release continues the distillery’s tradition of collaborating every six months to distill unique expressions of whiskey.

Innovative Mash Bill Enhances Flavor Profile

A standout feature of the Fall 2020 blend is the introduction of a new mash bill called “SB101,” derived from the 101st barrel filled at the Experimental Distillery. This innovative 5-grain recipe includes two types of drum-roasted caramel malted barley, enhancing the blend’s chocolate and toffee notes, perfect for cooler weather. According to Founding Distiller Grant McCracken, “SB101” initially debuted as an Experimental Single Barrel in 2020 and has since proven to complement other mash bills beautifully.

Tasting Notes and Availability

The Fall 2020 release is crafted in four batches of 10 barrels each, offering a limited release that captures the essence of fall with tasting notes of oatmeal raisin cookie, root beer, chocolate malt, pecan pie, and sweet hay. This special whiskey will be available at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery starting October 10, 2024, and in select states soon after, retailing for $52.99 per 750ml bottle. Limited quantities will also be accessible online at Seelbachs.com for shipping to select states.

About Chattanooga Whiskey

Founded in 2011, Chattanooga Whiskey broke legal barriers to distill whiskey in Chattanooga for the first time in a century, leading to the establishment of the country’s only standalone experimental distillery. The Riverfront Distillery, opened in 2017, serves as the production hub for Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature offerings. Committed to quality and authenticity, the distillery has garnered recognition, including being named Craft Producer of the Year at Whisky Magazine’s 2023 World Whiskies Awards.
